Over the Christmas break, I will be updating the blog for more detailed info on photo gallery status and site updates. Look for a new header, layout may change and a few other details to make it a much more interesting place to visit.

Also......did you see the site is almost at half a million hits??? I'm sure this is not only hits but page hits but still, the number is outstanding.

Thank you parents and players for all your support and I look forward to photographing more things during your high school and undergrad years.

First off I know the header needs to be changed and I will be doing that soon. Currently I am building a website for Alcoa Football. So far the splash page is up and no it's not done yet. I wanted to get this up so everyone know's the site is being worked on. When the site is active the ENTER button will work. One page at a time will become live unless I have more time and can complete more.

Currently my time is spent working on the Alcoa High School football program and the football website. We are working long hours to make this available to you soon. The programs will be on sale at the home game against Maryville and the website will be open well before that. Please stay tuned, I'm sure everyone will be pleased with the site.

Summer news

Ah....the first day of summer and the temps prove it. Summer news for the IBJC photography and Alcoa athletes. I was out at the school for the football skills one morning and shot a lot of photos of the players in action. They will be posted on the IBJC site soon and some will be used for the AHS Football website that is coming in July 2009.

There are many games that I have not had a chance to get to yet. These are the AHS Soccer games, AYB 12u Games and AHS Football was posted recently. There is a list on my desk as to what is going up next and that is Soccer.

Please know that the delay is due to a job that is almost completed and then I have been chosen to be the event photographer for the Annal Channon Gail Christian Memorial Golf Tournament. This is such a huge honor to be asked to be a part of her memory. My hope is that with the work that I do it brings some joy to her parents and the Newsoms. Scrimmage photos for the first spring practice games have been posted and are now open for viewing/purchase. Currently working on the second game gallery and will have those open later tonight. Next will be both of the soccer games that were shot in May. Thank you for your patience.

AHS Baseball vs Loudon 4/27/09 Now Open

Finally after the long wait the AHS vs LHS game is now open for viewing/purchase. All of the baseball/softball game galleries will be open and at these prices through June to give us time to tag all of these photos so you can easily find your player.

Notices will be posted as to the first stage of gallery archival/closing. Order before the prices increase or your summer activities get going and you forget. There have been so many games that closing of sports seasons is coming soon. Please contact me if you need help in ordering or have any questions.

AHS vs Loudon now open

The last of the games from last week have been posted. AHS vs Carter (Varsity and JV) and AHS vs Loudon are now open for viewing/purchase. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call me or talk to me at a game. It looks like there is only 1 more home game after this weekends tournament and this game is against Maryville. AMS Baseball vs Eagleton NOW OPEN

Alcoa Middle Baseball vs Eagleton is now open for viewing/purchase. This game gallery turned out well. It was played at home and some great action shots were captured. Notice Thomas Loy's home run shot from hit to score. Jacob Durant's slide into home being called safe......shhhh.....he was out but I'm not telling the umpires. There are 232 photos to see. The double header on Friday is the next scheduled shoot for AMS.

AYB Baseball opening day now open

The Giants Jamboree is now open for viewing/purchase. Alcoa Youth Baseball had their Jamboree on Saturday 4/11/09. The Giants, coached by Dyron Bledsoe, played 2 games of which are posted in one gallery. Being unable to move sides shots were limited this time. The plan is to move to both sides of the field. Many more games are coming so there will be many more photos of the Giants. Here is a link the the gallery.

This is a large game gallery of almost 300 pictures for AHS Baseball vs Sweetwater and it's now open for viewing/purchase. Tagging of these games will take some time due to the vast number of photos that are taken each game.

Alcoa Middle School baseball shots are now open for viewing/purchase. Many of the shots taken later in the game were low level lighting and will not be good to use to blow larger than an 8x10. Increase in pricing after the season

There have been some questions about pricing so I hope this clears things up. Pricing is the same until a gallery is archived. The next step for that gallery is final closing. These will be close out as room is needed for new photo. Here is what has been posted to the main page of the site.

Note about pricing.......All gallery prices will increase in price 1 month after the sport season has ended....Watch for archiving notice here on the main page.......Photos in Football and Basketball galleries were open throughout the season at regular price and after the final game a notice about the galleries being archived was posted here and on the sports blog. These prices are set until the photo galleries are closed out to make room for new game shots. The best pricing for any action photo will be during the current season up until 1 month after the last game.

My promise is to give a portion of the commission that this link received to the Alcoa Athletic Dept. This means that your players will benefit along with the Athletic Dept of our Tornadoes. There are so many things to see and you can customize your apparel.

AHS vs William Blount now open

Both the BV & GV game galleries are now open for viewing/purchase. This will complete the AHS Basketball season for 2008-2009. All games will be open through the month of March and then they will be prepared for moving to the archives. Order your game shots soon. Contact me for any questions or if you would rather order thru me.

NOTE: The BV game was a great one in that the team rallied around Michael in his last game before he was out for recovery of an injury. He played the first minute and scored 3 points. It was great and you can see Mom in the stands cheering him on. Great job Michael!!!

The seasons photos will be archived where the price will increase and but on limited time before they are closed down and will need to be special ordered based on a contact sheet.

AHS vs William Blount coming soon

The galleries for the William Blount games will be posted soon. Updates will be posted on this blog along with on the home page of the IBJC site. Senior night was 2/12/2009 and the GV and BV were given personalized layouts to remember their season. Those can be found HERE. The highlight of both games was for Michael Haynes who is out for an injury was allowed to play for a minute and the team set him up where he made a 3 point shot, it was fantastic. There will be a photo of a proud Mom in the stands after the photos of Michael. Keep an eye out for it.

New Basketball Poster

This one is going to print and upon request you can see sizing on this one in 24x36 in metallic and others that are on hand in 20x30, also metallic. Several other prints are on order as samples so you have an idea which size is best for you. Most, if not all the posters/layouts can be custom to any specific size you would need or want. More poster layouts are coming....there just aren't enough hours during the day to work as fast at the ideas are evolving. This poster is of Ryan Clark for his baskeball season this year, any sport can be used on this layout.

Sorry these past 3 games have not been uploaded yet. That night is seems I was a magnet for the ball and then finally the players at the end. I was not hurt anywhere other than my foot, of all places. I hobbled home and I iced myself frozen after the game. Seems like it's a deep bruise and not a fracture but Dr. said it may not show up now. I just call that taking one for the team!!! Anyway, it is the cause for the photos not being up as quickly as usual. Just keep checking back because I know that I will have at least the BJV game up tomorrow mid day and with any luck the GV will be uploading over night. Thanks for checking in!!!

Galleries for both games played against Maryville on 1/22/2009 are open for viewing/purchase. Several photos were taken to show the fans and there are quite a few that show the silver ball created by Daniel Robinson to boast the 14-1 Season and 5th State Championship win.

Fatheads are new to the site and will be offered through custom ordering only. They can be for any sport not just baseball shown on this flyer. There are 2 options for you to chose from. Vinyl (indoor only) which can be over and over. NOTE: 1 time use for windows/mirrors for vinyl fathead. The second option can be used on all surfaces including textured walls. These are special fabric prints that can be used on your car, windows, walls or wherever you chose. They are more expensive but if you want a fathead for your room then the vinyl option will be fine. The girls game gallery is now open for viewing/purchase. The boys game is currently being worked on and will open at some point on Tuesday 1/20 once the upload is completed.

NEW to the site.....there are several things in the works and one is now open. They are the 411 cards for Seniors and you can see these HERE. The boys version is completed and a girls verion of this same card will be uploaded soon. Many more designs are coming and once there are photos to fill them they will be uploaded as sample. These cards can be created for any student from Freshman-Junior and we will have samples of those up soon. Thank you to the Robinson family for allowing me to use Tyler's photos to create this sample. Check back often to see more personalized cards.

Alcoa Freshman vs Maryville Freshman is now open for viewing/purchase. There are 290 shots for this game and maybe 5 or so pictures that are out of focus. These were chosen to leave these in the gallery because they either tell a story on what was happening in the game or they were funny. The caption will be different on these so you know which photos they are.

Stepping out of the box

So I stepped out of the box on designing this picture so it's a little different yet still staying with the sports theme. Water and electricity don't mix but they do within a photo. There are 3 versions of this same photo in the basketball posters gallery you can get to from HERE. Look closely at the basketball that she is holding in her hands because it's really an orb of her doing a free throw. Come to the gallery to see the other versions of this photo.

Just opened is a gallery under Sports/Album Styles that has a baseball book that was just created for the 2008-2009 season. The sample is of my son Ryan during his baseball season in the spring of 2008. The book can be customized to any sport changing out the baseball theme to say soccer, football or a combination of sports if more than one is played in a school year. Every aspect of the book can be personalized. The only thing that stays the same is the template and this is a square book.

Contact me if you have an interest in having a book created and we can discuss photos, theme, sizing and pricing. The book shown will be back from the printer soon so you can see what your book will look like.

BJV vs William Blount is now open

The game gallery for the BJV is now open for viewing/purchase. Not all of the games have been tagged yet but we working on this so you can easily find your player.
With Basketball the action moves much faster than in football. It seem that we end up with double the shots in this sport so processing/uploading takes a little longer. Tagging can take some time with over 150-300 + in a gallery.

AES-AMS Photos open for proofing

The individual and team photos for AES-AMS have been completed and are open. Order sheets have been sent to Coach McBride and will be given to players. The galleries are located in the AES Basketball Gallery under sports and there is another FX set of photos using the individual player photo. Those can be ordered on the website once I know what FX you would like used.

Here is a photo that is one of my favorites and it is hard to chose which one I want too. This is the Ansel B&W on Ryan's photo.

BV Basketball 1/5/2009 now open

The boys gallery is now open for viewing/purchase. Thank for your patience on the upload. It seems that there are more photos at the end of a basketball game to sort thru than football due to the fact that there is constant action. Tagging all of these photos will take us some time so keep checking in and if you see NOT TAGGED YET in the title you will know those haven't been completed.

2 more games were photographed last night for GJV and BJV vs William Blount and will be up later this week. Between both games there are over 450.

GV Basketball 1/5 gallery is open

The girls gallery is now open for viewing/purchase. Working on making sure we have all the girls names correct before we tagged each photo for easy of searching.

Several things have been added: There was a photo of Hogan Goodson that really stuck out so I worked with it to get a cartoon FX then added some grunge. You will find these HERE and there are 2 final versions.

This basketball poster of Ryan will be part of a series of poster layouts that can be customized for your player. The ALCOA wording at the top is actually a picture of the high school gym floor with 3D FX. Please contact me if you would like to have this poster created for your player. The hands on the bottom left are not Ryan's, they are Michael Haynes hands from one of the special FX that was done on his photo and you can see the same in the header above.

AHS Basketball Games 1/5/2009

Three games total for 1/5/2009 were taken. BJV, GV and BV will be uploaded over the next day or so. Keep checking back in for each gallery opening. It will be announced here on this blog and on the home page of the site.
NEXT scheduled game is the AHS BJV on 1/8/2009. There are plans to attend 2 of the GJV games as well.

Site Changes

2009 already......so it's time for a change. Since we are in the middle of Basketball season it's only fitting to have a new header. It's not finished because there has only been one game photographed. As other action shots happen they will be added to the header. Hope to include some from GJV, BJV, GV and more from the BV games.

AES-AMS team shots are being worked on this week. A few have been posted in a BOYS FX gallery of Ryan to show you what the individual shot will look like and then several different effects that are going to be offered.

Holiday Update

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. I know many are busy getting back to some sense of normalcy after Christmas just like we are here in my household. I'm looking forward to what 2009 brings and will be updating the site/blog with basketball. My next scheduled shoot for AHS is Jan 5th.

Also a quick note: Hope to have the www.alcoasports.com site up soon and we will post more things about the alcoasports site dedicated to our Tornadoes here on this blog in the next few weeks.

AES-AMS Basketball Girls Championship OPEN

The Championship game for the Girls vs Carpenters is now open for viewing/purchase and will remain open until the end of January. The season galleries will go into archival status where you will still be able to view/order the photos at a higher cost. This is to make room for new seasons.

The boys game for AES-AMS vs Mary Blount is uploading and should be open late tonight or in the morning. The home page will tell when the gallery is open or you can check here on the blog for updated information.

Next Scheduled Shoot for AHS

Holiday obligations are messing up my sports shooting schedule so being at the AHS basketball game tonight is not going to happen. The next home game for AHS including BJV, GV, BV games will be shot on 1/5/2009 vs Loudon County at home AHS. All of the remaining GJV games are away so I will be taking to Josh Stephens about which game I should plan to attend.

The header for this blog will be changing to the basketball so keep an eye out for that change. Not sure what it will be but something fun.

AES-AMS Final Games

AES-AMS Girls Basketball team is the Champion, winning the final tournament game against Carpenters. Way to go girls you really played a hard game/season and it has been great watching you play.

AES-AMS Boys Basketball team came in 3rd. They had an undefeated season then lost the semi final round against Porter then coming back and playing an awesome game against Mary Blount to take 3rd place. Proud of you boys......

State Championship Gallery NOW OPEN

All of the 297 photos of the State game have been uploaded and are now open for viewing/purchase. All shots were taken from the stands to cropping and enlarging whne ordering is available. Please let me know if there are any layouts that you would like completed. The slideshow holds 3 State layouts with Daniel and Nathaniel Robinson. Your player can be pictured in the same layout.

At this time all of 2008 Football Season for AHS will be open thru 1/31/2009 where the plan is to archive the gallery. Eventually the gallery will be closed to make room for new seasons and notice will be given as to when that will happen.

Change of Plans for my trip to State AGAIN

Ok this weeks schedule for me has tossed and turned and we came up with a solution. I will be going to the State Championship game but I will not be allowed on the field. Too much red tape and too many flaming hoops to jump thru so don't mind me as I walk around the stadium and take pictures. See you there........

Media rules and regulations have been handed down by TSSAA and I will not be allowed to be on the sidelines. We were not aware of this until today so I'm very sad to say that I will NOT be going to the State game to photograph the players. Good luck on Friday Tornadoes!!!

The 2008 season of galleries will remain open for ordering thru 1/5/2009. Please feel free to contact me about any current photos if you would like to have a layout or special effect made. Christmas is coming and we still have time to order for delivery on 12/24.

AHS Playoff Game 4 Now Open

The gallery for playoff game AHS vs Marion is now open for viewing/purchase. This games has had the best series of actions shots and from many players. It was an exciting game for all and hopefully you can see that in the photos. Some of the photos you must pay attention too because they show the action as it happens....one that comes to mind is the touchdown by Tyler Robinson where you see his advance thru several players until he reaches the end zone! That is just one, this gallery is has a lot of great catches, runs, plays....etc!

The last few photos are right from the camera and I plan on working with the best one to create a special effect similar to one that was done in the beginning of the season that can be found under Football FX. The final photo is coming soon.........Enjoy!

Photos from game 3 are being uploaded now. They will not be open until sometime in the afternoon on Monday...there are 224 shots. Tagging of this gallery along with several others should be finished soon so the search page under keywords will pull up all of your players photos.

A few photos have been added to the Football FX gallery. Thanks Jalik and Jaron Toney for the nice photo....I did do 2 sketches for you to see. The helmet entrance with fireworks is quite a site to see so there are 3 versions of one of the photos completed.

Alcoa won round 3 and will move to round 4 on their home turf. Alcoa plays Marion on 11/28/2008 at Alcoa High School. Sure hope it's not as cold as it was tonight. There are over 250 games shots to process and upload. This will take a few extra days for the gallery to be live. Please bear with us as we hope to have this up by Monday. Sports Style Creations update

Here is a new layout using one of my favorite photos shot after the game. I'm not sure who's hands they are but they sure make a nice statement that I thought worked well with TEAMWORK. This layout can be found under Sports/Sports Style Creations/Inspirational Sports Layouts and the hand photos have had some effects and can be found under Sports/Sports FX.

The full gallery of shots will be open by tomorrow. There are close to 300 photos we are working with.

Both Boys and Girls basketball game galleries from the Alcoa vs Fairview are now open. Scores will be updated later....sorry about not having that. All of the tagging for easy search is not completed yet for the boys game so check back in a day or so for specific searchs of your player.

Football game shots from the 2nd playoff game will be up later today or tonight....we are working on this now. Just to note: not all of the games have been tagged yet on this either. All galleries should be completed by the end of the week.

Both games are in the process of being worked and uploaded. The girls game will be the first gallery posted. The time has been a little longer for gallery opening of these games due to the fact that the lighting in some gyms are different and photos will need to be worked with in order for us to post.

Another note is that we had 3 games back to back between AES basketball and AHS football. The galleries for each game will be uploaded as they were photographed. (Girls basketball first, then boy, and third will be the AHS playoff game 2) Please be patient we are working hard to get these galleries open for you.

Tagging each photo will come shortly after the last games have been opened. At this time not all photos have been tagged with keywords but we are feverishly working on getting everything marked to make your searching fast and easy.

A HUGE congratulations goes out of one of our own Alcoa players; TYLER ROBINSON has been nominated for the award for the Division 1, Class 2A Lineman classification.

From the TSSAA.org site:

The Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards will be presented to the top 14 backs and linemen in seven classifications of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association on Monday, December 1, 2008, at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Murfreesboro. For the seventh consecutive year, the top kicker in the state will be recognized with a Mr. Football Award. There are three finalists in this category, regardless of their school's classification. The awards are sponsored by Nancy and Bud Adams through their donation from the Tennessee Titans Foundation.

"High school football in Tennessee enjoys a great tradition throughout the state and we are pleased to join the TSSAA for the second consecutive year in saluting these fine young men at the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards," said Adams. "The young men that are recognized with these awards are truly the best of the best! They are selected not only for their football skills, but for their strong character and academic achievements and we're honored to join the TSSAA in saluting them!"

A committee of statewide sports writers selected winners based on performance in the 2008 regular season. Academics and character were also taken into consideration. High school head coaches and members of the media nominated the finalists.

Please see me or one of our helpers at any game for a free Alcoa Calendar where the dates run from Sept 2008 thru the end of 2009. For this freebie we used the header found on this blog. Those players include Daniel Robinson, Justin Marsh, Deontra Herbert, Marcel Walden, Nathaniel Robinson, Tyler Robinson and Chase James. There is another player that I have yet to identify that is behind Chase James. Please let me know (email) who this is if anyone figures this out. I'm sure that player would appreciate the recognition.

You can also download a digital copy to print that can be found here. When we run out we will change the header and have more printed as needed.

Just to give you a heads up there is a website listed on the calendar that is for AlcoaSports. This site is currently under construction and will be the link "coming soon" on the photography site. Of course it will be changed to ready Alcoa Sports. This up and coming site will also have a forum where you can talk Alcoa sports. Due to the vast problems we have been having with the navbar code of the Images by Jenifer Clark site we had to move the Availability link to the Alcoa Sports drop down. This way the overlap of Home and Search should no longer be an issue. Sorry if this caused any problems.

3 new sports FX prints have been created 2 of which are Adrian Womac and the third is Nathaniel Robinson. You can find those 3 by clicking here.

Posters and FX are created to show the wide range of effects that be done. Photos are chosen at random. If you find a picture of your player that you want created into a poster or have FX that you really like please email us with your request.

Search page is now active

SEARCH PAGE IS ACTIVE. The search page has been created and we are putting the tags on the photos. This will take us some time but the keywords are working and you can search by name. Searching by jersey number is not possible at this time. We hope to have all the photos tagged by the end of next week so when you do a search it will be a complete scan of all the galleries.

If you notice there is now a SEARCH link at the top on the right of the navbar on the IBJC site. This page will allow you to see popular photos, search by date range, keyword search and the search bar. Keywords are great in that if you see one that you need there will be a drop down to tell you how many photos are under that keyword and all you have to do is click that word to see the photos. Several kinks will need to be worked out so notices will be posted on days were there is site maintenance. The photos and keywords are being updated and this will take us a little more time. Thanks for your patience with our growing pains.

Site Changes

If you are wondering about the look of the site or what is going on today, work is being done on this so we can get rid of the kinks in the navbar. That is the drop down list of galleries under the blue line. Plus we are trying to add a well needed search page for you to find your players photos. Each photo will need to be tagged so we have a team working on getting this updated for us now. These are good changes so please bear with us during our upgrades. After it's completed you will be able find photos by name and/or number along with just browsing the game gallery. The page is active and can be used. The tags are being added and we hope to have this completed within the next week or so.

For some time the navbar on the IBJC site has overlapped and looked just fine on this computer where we do site changes/updates. After noticing the look on another computer we went to work fixing the look. Only a few things have changed as of right now. The Guestbook and My Blog have been moved under Information so the navbar should look better.

The next change that you will notice sometime this week will be the search page. This will be where you can search by date range or keyword. This will take some time for the team to key every photo so you can find your player by name/number. Thanks for being patient with us, we are growing at an incredible rate and keeping things easy and simple is our mission.

There are many new things yet to come in terms of merchandise you can get with your photos. If you have suggestions feel free to email us on things you would like to see. Also, there are 2 polls here on this site that would be helpful for us to know how we are doing. Please vote.

Game shots from the Alcoa vs Loudon have been uploaded and are ready for viewing/purchase. The photos are in order so where you see some that look similar they are not the same they are just consecutive shots of the action. This game seemed more physical/rough than past games, as you can see in a few of the scenes captured. Great job on the winning season!!!

METALLIC prints now available and these are FANTASTIC for both color and black & white. Ask to see some prints in METALLIC they are really neat to see.
